Reading the article "Skills 2.0" reminded me of the phrase "the more I learn the less i know." With the ubiquitous nature of information the average individual can challenge even the most expert. Their once untouchable decree has become nerely their expert opinion, and is put up for evaluation as their clients go to the internet for cross references and research. Therefore, experts are expected to continue to learn and grow in their field. And how is it proposed that they do so? By using Web 2.0! Through using interactive platforms experts express that they are willing to share their intelligence with others, also that they are open to learning form others. Networking not only makes it so that experts admit that they don't know everything it concludes that because of the resources in their network they don't have to.
Information is no longer accessible by the chosen few, it is nearly unlimited. However, the need of USEFUL information is urgent. Simple regurgitation of learned facts is no longer an effective way to express knowledge. The pressure placed on learners to develop marketable skills has let to more aggressive learning tactics. Therefore, there is a parallel pressure on teachers to come up with more effecting teaching platforms. Learners are in turn becoming teachers and teachers are becoming learners.
